This is about the PC version. If you're looking for the mobile version, see Cut the Rope: Time Travel
Cut the Rope: Time Travel (PC) is a PC version of the mobile game of the same name, released on an unknown date, It shows Om Nom traveling back in time to multiple time periods of his ancestors. The gameplay remains the same from the mobile version, with the player now having to feed two Om Noms instead of one. However, there are a lot of notable differences between this version and the mobile version.
List of time periods[]
- Pirate Ship acts as a tutorial, introducing air cushions. Om Nom's ancestor in this time period is a pirate captain, wearing a hat, an earring and smoking a pipe.
- The Renaissance introduces bubbles and spikes. Om Nom's ancestor in this time period is a renaissance painter with a feather in his hat and a sharp beard and moustache.
- The Middle Ages introduces bouncy platforms. Om Nom's ancestor in this time period dons a horned helmet.
- Ancient Greece introduces top hats. This ancestor of Om Nom wears a laurel wreath.
- Ancient Egypt introduces rope hooks. Om Nom's ancient ancestor resembles a pharaoh, with white and blue nemes and a pharaoh's headdress.
- The Stone Age introduces rotatable blades. Om Nom's ancestor is noticeably bigger than him, with a bone head decoration and spots on his belly.
Differences[]
- The opening cutscene is different compared to the mobile version. In the mobile version, a time machine suddenly appears in Evan Coulton's room while Om Nom is eating candy. In the PC version, Om Nom sneaks into the time machine, which seems to be in a lab of some kind. He accidentally pushes a lever with his foot and is sent back in time to the pirates.
- The order of the boxes is switched around.
- When a candy is fed to one of the Om Noms, they continue chewing instead of falling asleep.
- Most of the mechanics introduced in this game are not from the mobile version, but instead can be found in the original Cut the Rope.
- Instead of an animated cutscene playing when you beat the game, you get a screen showing how many stars you collected.
