A Sweet Start is the first episode of Season 18 and the first episode of the Om Nom Cafe era of Om Nom Stories.
Description[]
When given a choice, Om Nom will always choose more! But when a cooking disaster leaves Om Nom, Om Nelle and Nibble Nom homeless, he learns that more is not always the best. A true blessing in disguise, the disaster gives the Noms a new occupation and starts them on a new adventure! What will they do? Watch this video to find out!
Plot[]
Nibble Nom is looking in a cookbook, and he finds a recipe for cookies. He shows it to Om Nom and Om Nelle, and they start cooking them. Even though Om Nom makes some mistakes (dropping an egg on himself, bringing too much flour and dropping them, and nearly adding chilli sauce), they manage to make the dough. Om Nelle and Nibble Nom then add a small amount of powder from a sachet, and the dough rises. They place it in a pot and leave, but they forget to put the sachet away, giving Om Nom the chance to add all of the powder in. The dough starts rising excessively, and Om Nom tries to keep it in the pot, when Om Nelle and Nibble Nom appears. The dough continues to rise, and eventually destroys the roof and ejects Om Nom, Om Nelle and Nibble Nom. The dough is about to land in the town, but Nibble Nom knows to cut it and put the shapes in the oven, so Om Nom creates an oven, Nibble Nom cuts the dough and Om Nelle throws the shapes in the oven. They and the other citizens get covered in the dough, but the cookies are ready, and Om Nelle takes them out and Om Nom is pleased. However, Nibble Nom notices that their house's structure has weakened severely as a result of the accident, and it collapses. Om Nom checks their items, and the television cannot get a signal, the lamp's light bulb is damaged, and the glass of the picture frame is also broken. Om Nom is in grief, but the citizens try the cookies and enjoy them, and they give the Nom family money to create a new cafe.
